Meet Jonathan

Jonathan Young

Eternal Legacy AI Founder & CEO

1. Tell us a little about your background and what brought you to Eternal Legacy AI.

In middle school, I used to sneak onto the “brand new” internet from a neighboring computer during typing class. I was completely captivated by the interconnectivity and how quickly I could find information.

Years later, after earning my MBA and working with Fortune 500 companies like Disney, T-Mobile, Verizon, Starbucks, and Costco, I had the chance to see firsthand how major players were beginning to implement AI as it was emerging.

I realized that the many small, powerful tools that make up AI could work together to build something truly meaningful. That realization aligned with something deeply personal: my daughter’s desire to meet her namesake grandmother, who passed away before she was born. The possibility of using these tools to create that kind of connection quickly became the driving force behind Eternal Legacy AI.

2. What do you love most about the work you do here?

I love the stories—those memories passed down by generations before us. And I love that now, with the right technology and careful attention, those voices can be heard again, with the same tone and clarity as when they were first spoken.

What we’re building here isn’t just interesting, it’s deeply meaningful.

3. If you could ask Abraham Lincoln one question, what would it be?

Why were you so dedicated to keeping the Union together?

4. Who is one person from history you’d love to have a conversation with—and why?

Confucius. His teachings, knowledge, and philosophy still resonate 2,500 years later.

5. What does the word legacy mean to you?

I once visited a beautiful home tucked away in the Colorado mountains. There was no internet or phone signal, the water came from a well, and the entire place was powered by a single line of electricity.  It was wonderful.

The house had a huge open living space and sleeping quarters for 30 people. It was built by hand, piece by piece, by a grandfather who taught his sons to build and they kept building together. That home was a legacy. It withstood the elements and time, untouched by the noise of the outside world.

To me, legacy is something that endures through history, through weather, through changing opinions. Legacy doesn’t waver. It holds truth in its bones.

Seeing it built, seeing it stand, gave me a clear sense of what legacy really means and the impact it has on the world.

6. What’s a surprising skill, interest, or fun fact about you that others might not guess?

I speak Mandarin… with a Cantonese accent.
